IPLocation.net is operated by Brand Media, Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and share information when you use IPLocation.net, our related tools, hosted applications, APIs, account features, forms, and Google-connected features.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated when you use our services, and limited information received from third-party services when you authorize a connection.
- Contact and account information: name, email address, company, billing or mailing details, support messages, newsletter preferences, and account credentials or profile settings when you create or use an account.
- IP address and technical data: IP address, approximate location, ISP or network, ASN, browser, operating system, device type, user agent, request headers, referral URL, timestamps, and diagnostic information needed to operate IP lookup, privacy, security, and developer tools.
- Tool input: domains, URLs, IP addresses, email headers, request examples, code snippets, or other values you submit to lookup, testing, scanning, or developer tools.
- Payment and transaction data: plan, invoice, order, and payment status information. Payment card details, when used, are processed by payment providers and are not stored by IPLocation.net unless explicitly stated by the payment provider workflow.
- Cookies and analytics: cookies, session identifiers, preference data, and analytics events used to keep the site secure, remember choices, measure performance, and improve content and services.
- Google user data: if you connect a Google account, we access only the Google data needed for the Google-connected feature you authorize, as described below.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve IPLocation.net services. This includes showing IP location results, running requested diagnostics, responding to support requests, managing accounts and subscriptions, preventing abuse, debugging errors, measuring service performance, and complying with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, personalized ads, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers or information resellers.
3. Google Search Console API Data
Some IPLocation.net developer or site-audit features may allow you to connect your Google account so that we can access Google Search Console data for properties you are authorized to view. We use OAuth 2.0 to request permission from Google before accessing this data.
When available, our Google Search Console integration is intended to help users view, audit, diagnose, or improve their own verified websites and related IPLocation.net tools. Depending on the feature you use and the permission you approve, we may request the following scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly- read-only access to Search Console properties and reports.
We may access Search Console property lists, verified site URLs, search analytics metrics such as clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, query/page/device/country/date dimensions, sitemap information, and URL inspection results when the connected feature requires it.
We use Google Search Console data only to provide or improve user-facing features that are visible in IPLocation.net, such as selecting a verified property, showing search performance, auditing URLs, checking indexing status, reviewing sitemap data, or helping you diagnose SEO and site visibility issues. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the feature you requested, comply with law, protect security, or complete a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets after required notice or consent.
We do not allow employees, contractors, or service providers to read Google user data unless it is necessary to provide support you request, investigate abuse or security issues, comply with law, or operate and improve the authorized feature in an aggregated or de-identified form. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. OAuth Tokens And Revocation
When you authorize a Google-connected feature, Google may provide access tokens and refresh tokens. We store tokens securely and use them only to access the Google APIs and scopes you approved. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page or by contacting us. After revocation, IPLocation.net will no longer be able to retrieve new Google Search Console data for that connection.
5. How We Store And Protect Data
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards include HTTPS, access controls, credential protection, monitoring, and limits on who can access operational systems. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect the information entrusted to us.
6. How Long We Keep Data
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing abuse, and complying with legal obligations. Tool inputs and diagnostic results may be stored temporarily or in account history when needed to provide the requested feature. Google Search Console data and OAuth tokens are retained only as needed to provide the connected feature, unless you disconnect the integration or request deletion sooner.
7. Sharing Information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate our website, hosting, databases, analytics, email, payments, customer support, security, and similar business functions. These providers are authorized to use information only as needed to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
8. Cookies And Tracking
IPLocation.net uses cookies and similar technologies to operate sessions, remember preferences, secure forms, analyze traffic, and improve services. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some services may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.
9. Your Choices And Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information where applicable by contacting us. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message. You may disconnect Google access through your Google Account permissions page or by contacting us for assistance.
10. Children's Privacy
IPLocation.net is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
11. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or data practices. If we make material changes to how we use Google user data or other personal information, we will update this page and, where required, ask users to consent before using data in a materially different way.
